Sergey Petrunya will have two talks at FOSDEM (4-5 February 2012, in Brussels, Belgium) in the MySQL DevRoom on Sunday 5 February 2012. MariaDB plans to be strong there with an appearance from Michael "Monty" Widenius and Colin Charles as well.

On February 1st 2012, the MySQL Meetup Group in Paris, France will have Colin Charles speak about MariaDB to their audience. Monty Program will be sending Colin Charles who has three talks accepted at SCALE 10x happening in Los Angeles from January 20-22 2012. We also have a booth in the expo hall. On Friday January 20, the talks are at the MySQL track on The MySQL Storage Engines Landscape & MariaDB The New M in LAMP. ON Saturday January 21, the talk is about The MySQL Diaspora which continues to grow.

The MariaDB project would like to announce the availability of MariaDB 5.2.10 and 5.1.60, the latest additions to our growing lineup of supported software. MariaDB 5.2.10 and 5.1.60 are primarily bug-fix updates to the previous releases in each series.
