Monty has worked on the MySQL/MariaDB codebase since 1981. At least 60% of the MySQL code is still his. He is a MySQL Fellow and is the founder and CEO of Monty Program Ab and the creator of MariaDB.

Sergei has worked on the MySQL/MariaDB codebase since 2000. He is a MySQL & MariaDB Architect and is the creator of MySQL plugins, microseconds, Aria, and more. Sergei is the co-author of the MySQL 5.1 Plugin Development book.

Igor has worked on the MySQL/MariaDB code base since 2002. He is a MySQL & MariaDB Architect. He knows the optimizer better than anyone else.

Sanja has worked on the MySQL/MariaDB codebase since 2001. He is a Senior MariaDB developer. Sanja is the author of query cache, the first implementation of subqueries and views in MySQL.

Timour has worked on the MySQL/MariaDB optimizer since 2004. Some of the projects he implemented are a greedy query optimizer and subquery materialization. He also worked on re-engineering and other optimizer projects. Before joining MySQL, he received a Ph.D. in database technology from Uppsala University, Sweden. During his studies he contributed code to the federated query optimizer of IBM's DB2.

Sergey has worked on the MySQL/MariaDB codebase since 2003. He works on the query optimizer. He implemented the Table Elimination feature in MariaDB 5.1. Prior to working for Monty Program, Sergey worked at Sun Microsystems/MySQL Ab where he implemented features like partition pruning, index_merge access, index condition pushdown, Multi-Range-Read and has made numerous smaller improvements mainly in the area of the query optimizer.

Kristian Nielsen has been working with Open Source since around 1991, authoring and contributing to many different projects. He worked as a MySQL server developer for 2 1/2 years, and for the past two years he has been working on MariaDB as a developer at Monty Program AB.

Vladislav has worked on the MySQL/MariaDB codebase since 2008. Prior to joining MySQL AB he worked on the database kernel for Software AG's Adabas and Tamino databases, and the SAP Netweaver application server kernel. He is also knows a lot about MySQL/MariaDB connectors - while working for MySQL Ab/Sun/Oracle he spent a year on the Connector team, working on the ADO.NET driver.

Alexey has worked on the MySQL codebase since 2001. Author of GIS extensions, DECIMAL type and the embedded-server library.

Colin has worked with the MySQL and MariaDB communities since 2005. Chair of the MySQL conferences for the last several years. Travels a lot!

Bryan joined Monty Program in May 2009 after over 5 years at MySQL, AB and Sun Microsystems. He is a core developer of Eventum, an open source issue tracking system. Bryan is responsible for all web related projects at Monty Program with a focus on the Knowledge Base.

Daniel joined Monty Program in June 2009. He has many years of experience in system administration and technical writing and has been using Linux since 1997. Daniel is a regular contributor to the Linux Journal and has been published in several other magazines, including Linux Pro, Ubuntu User, and Tux.

Rasmus has worked with MariaDB since 2010. He is responsible for sales & partners.

Camilla has worked with MySQL/MariaDB since 2002. Her main responsibilities are external reporting to authorities as well as internal reporting to the Management. Ensuring prompt payments to the assets of the company, the consultants and employees is also on the top of the list of responsibilities.

Jani has worked on the MySQL/MariaDB codebase since 1998. Does both coding and machine maintenence. He is the author of autopush, and 'analyze table'. Responsible for client code.

Andrea is responsible for HR related topics and works as personal assistant to Monty. She is also in charge of planning events.

Axel is a commercial user of MySQL since 1999 when he was webadmin and DBA for jobpilot.de. 2005 he changed sides and worked as a developer and support engineer for MySQL AB, Sun Microsystems and later Oracle. Axel joined MariaDB Services AB in 2012 and is now responsible for benchmarks and performance analysis.

Elena has worked on the MySQL/MariaDB codebase since early 2008. She is in charge of QA and testing.
